Abstract (EN)
The main factors of infections in some patient groups are bacterias, viruses and fungis. Nowadays, different treatments have been sought for inactivation of some infection-causing bacteria that do not respond to drug therapy. The plasma state of the substance the gas state of the substance exposed to strong electric field result of the defined as a mixture of partially ionized gas, highly reactive ion and electron mixture, neutral atoms, electric fields, reactive molecules, induced species and UV radiation. In line with the studies conducted in recent years, the plasma form of the substance has been it used in many different industries. The concept of medical plasma comes to the fore with the use of plasma technology in medicine. Applications of medical plasma in the field of medicine are applications made mainly as cold atmospheric pressure plasma. Cold plasmas used in the medical field can it be used mostly to provide inactivation of bacteria on living tissue. The structured system is an indirect medical plasma system. Within the scope of this thesis, medical plasma device design and production, which can be applied directly to the suspension medium or live tissue, has been structured. With this device configuration, it is aimed to provide bacterial inactivation in vitro. With this system, which is called medical plasma device, firstly, electronic and mechanical design determination processes were performed and system test studies were carried out following this process realizetion. With this study, the cold atmospheric pressure plasma device to be applied on tissue or cells in our country was produced as the first domestic prototype. With the medical plasma device prototype configuring, it is aimed to show the inactivating effect on bacteria that are resistant microorganisms. In this regard, in vitro bacteria testing protocols were completed in the laboratory environment of Başkent University Department of Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology and bacteria inactivation was provided in the culture medium. Statistical studies were conducted with Başkent University Industrial Engineering Department in order to obtain data about the functionality of the system produced after the bacteria test studies. In this context, it has been determined that bacterial inactivation is provided at the relevant levels of the parameters determined during the operation of the system. Thus, optimum working conditions have been determined.
