Abstract (EN)
The importance of renewable energy known as clean, endless energy source and became available as an alternative for growing energy needs is increasing day by day. Big investments in recent times are put into renewable energy sources like solar and wind power plants rather than limited sources like oil and gas. Hybrid energy systems which are improving to perpetuate renewable energy resources get a share of these investments. In this thesis, hybrid system variations which consist of wind and solar energy were designed and cost analysis of the variations was made to meet the electricity demand of Manisa Celal Bayar University Muradiye Campus. The wind speed and solar radiation data used in calculations are belonging to the selected location. For electricity need information, utility bill of Manisa Celal Bayar University Muradiye Campus was received. As a result, a total of 18 hybrid system variations with different installed power and cost were designed. These variations were compared and optimum variation was suggested. When the optimum variation was proposed, the useful lives of the variations and the amount of energy that they produce were considered.
