Abstract (EN)

After the II. World War, Turkey continued it?s politics towards the (western world) west. Following the war pressured and dictatored regimes were history and democratic parties were sovereign. After this progress, Turkey also started to work towards it?s multi party politics. Since 1945 political parties were established, between these Democrat Party which gained important power in a short period of time was placed as the main opposition party.Democrat party gained great success after participating in the 1946 elections which were done with one type, majority list method. D.P. working as the main opposition, pressured the party in power to change the igsisting law on voting finally on 16 th February 1950 the politicians changed the voting law. On May 1950 D.P. were voted to be the party in power. D.P. also gained power in 1954 and 1957 elections and were in power for 10 years. This caused the intellectuals, the press, the universities, the public and the army to have a negative reaction towards the government in power.Key Words:-Democrat Party,-Republican?s People Party,-Election,-Multy Political Party System,-Political Crisis.
