Abstract (EN)

In many sectors such as natural gas, water and oil lines, automotive, aviation, shipyards, defense industry, the process of joining steel materials to each other is done with welds and the detection of defects in these welds is used with non-destructive testing methods (NDT- Non Destructive Testing). With non-destructive testing methods, the reliability and quality of the welds are obtained quickly and cost-effectively. Radioactive testing (RT - Radiographic Inspection Test), one of the non-destructive testing methods, is the most popular non-destructive testing method that allows short-wavelength high-energy electromagnetic waves to penetrate into the part to be inspected without damaging it and to capture images of its internal structure and defective parts on radiographic film. In this study, it is aimed to detect defects that can be missed with the selected image processing algorithms to help NDT Experts in determining defects in the images taken from RT films. The images taken with RT experiments were transferred to the software and analyzed with the suggested methods. The obtained studies are intended to show that the proposed methods can provide significant contributions to the operator in interpreting errors.
