Abstract (EN)

Composite sections created by the combined use of reinforced concrete and steel profiles offer a solution that provides efficiency in designs, especially in terms of the stability of special buildings such as high-rise buildings. In this thesis, a high structure with steel encased composite columns and beams was designed and performance analysis was carried out nonlinear time history analysis. In the first part; the historical process of high-rise buildings was mentioned, and information about the Turkey Building Earthquake Code-2018 (TBEC-2018) and Design, Calculation and Construction of Steel Structures (DCCSS-2018) was presented. In the second part; the preliminary design of the high-rise building in question has been carried out. A 20-storey building plan, planned to be used as an office building, was created and earthquake calculations were made using the Mode Combination Method. In the third part; linear and nonlinear analyses were carried out and the behavioral models required for the nonlinear calculation method were defined as the structural system elements. Eleven different earthquake records obtained from the PEER database were scaled with the simple scaling method, and a total of twenty-two the nonlinear time history analysis was performed. In the last part, explanations were made about the results of the analysis, and according to the nonlinear calculation results, the structure provided the Prevention of Collapse performance target foreseen in TBEC- 2018.
