Abstract (EN)

The aim of the thesis is to exemine and research the connections between steel and steel, and also steel and different materialed such as concrete or reinforced concrete, masonry, timber and glass building components.The connections between structural steel elements and each others and the other building components and also different materrialed building components in steel structures is researched.Some definitions about building, construction, building systems and structure is defined and given some informations about loads that effect the buildings. The definition of steel is given and the properties of steels are described and also main steel types, international steel standarts and the methods of structural steel productions are tried to explain. The historical developing of steel buildings is examined and the advantages and disadvantages of steel is discussed. Architectural design of steel skeleton buildings is described and given some informations about steel structure components and steel products. Combination and connection methods of steel structures are aslo defined. The buildings elements and components that using in steel structures are described and connections between the same or different type components are exemined.To sum up, in connections between steel and steel or structural steel elements and different materialed building componnents, steel has some attiributes like ensure flexibility to designers, safety and quick construction and connecting as free of problem and by using minimum sized material.
