Abstract (EN)

In this study, mechanical properties of concrete and conventional reinforced concrete produced by addition of steel fibre at the contents of 20 kg/m3, 40 kg/m3, 60 kg/m3, 80 kg/m3 ve 100 kg/m3 were investigated. For this purpose, elastic modulus, compressive and flexural tensile strength tests were performed on steel fibre reinforced concretes. Also, load-deflection curves were obtained from the flexural tensile tests. Besides, effect of steel fibre content on fracture load and toughness of conventional reinforced concrete beams under bending were investigated.Depending on the experimental test results, it is determined that steel fibre had a significant effect on both flexural strength and toughness of concretes. Also, it was noted that steel fibre made a considerable improvements on both fracture load and toughness of conventional reinforced concrete beams under bending.
