Abstract (EN)
There are two dimensions of linguistic- stylistic studies as "vocabulary" and "syntax". In this thesis we studied on the syntax of Bu Ülke whose writer is one of the most important representatives of Turkish prose, in the Republic Term. During the study we obeyed the classical classification in syntax, but we also studied about the lenght of a sentence. We studied by structural methods to reach a system, and as a result we determined that Cemil Meriç had used "short noun sentences" especially to definite the words, which come from foreign languages and are made up wrongly, because he wanted to put an end to concept confusion. In Bu Ülke, There are inverted sentences at the range of 1/7. In this kind of sentences predicat is moved only one element inside of the sentence and the element at the end of the sentence is generally formed of one word. These sentences are used for "stress". %77 of the whole sentences in Bu Ülke are "short" sentences. %80 of these are "noun" sentences. Cemil Meriç converted the "short-noun" sentences of which fundamentals are based on "Tazarruname" to a maxim. In short texts, with the "short-noun" sentences which express the genetic and atomic kernel of Turkish, he formed a philosophical and poetical language. The sentences with conjunction of "that is" and the "transformatical" sentences are special to Cemil Meriç. These kind of sentences made him possible to enumarete the details of the topics which he dealed with. In this language the conjunction of "that is" is not used as an explanation of "balance". Cemil Meriç who continues these sentences different from our mental expectations surprises the reader, so he creates an effect of shock. Key words: Cemil Meriç, Bu Ülke, syntax, stylistic.
