Abstract (EN)

Elviye-i Selase: The name given to the region consisting of Kars, Ardahan and Batumi flags during the Ottoman period. The detachment of this region from the Ottoman Empire along with its 93 War was a turning point for the Turkish and Muslim people. After the Ottoman-Russian War of 1877-78, Elviye-i Selase remained in Russian captivity for about 40 years. Then, when Russia collapsed after the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia, The newly formed Soviet Russia government signed the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk on March 3, 1918, so that the lands had the joy of joining the homeland again. However, this joy did not last long, when the Ottoman state decided to withdraw from the pre-war borders with the Mudros Armistice signed at the end of the first World War. The people of Elviye-i Selase had experienced the sorrow of being separated from the homeland again. Indigenous people again not to return to the painful days of their own efforts Between 17-18 January 1919, the government was established. This government had its own Moon Star Flag and a Constitution that was considered the basis of the 1921 Constitution. This government, which was known as the Turkish Republic founded in Anatolia, took its place in history after a short political life of 4 months, on April 13, 1919, when the British raided the parliament and dissolved the government and arrested its members. Following the occupation, members of the government were first referred to Batumi and then to Istanbul. Members who were staying here for a while were deported to the Island of Malta as a convoy for fear of desertion. Members of the government suffered financial and moral difficulties both in Istanbul and on the island of Malta. To some extent comforting them, escaped from the arrest of the Government Minister of Foreign Affairs Fahrettin Bey was the correspondence. In this way, thanks to Mr. Fahrettin, they were able to get information about their homeland and their families. The days of exile continued until the opening of the Grand National Assembly and the victory of the Battle of Sakarya.
