The aim of this thesis is to investigate the fundamental principles of facade lighting design which is essential criteria of major design during the building design processes. The facade lighting design of the Faculty of Fethi Toker Fine Arts and Design, Safranbolu is examined with respect to the facade lighting criterions in four sections. The building was modelled and 3D simulated with the help of softwares AutoCAD and 3DMax. With respect to the theoretical instructions, seven different model are presented with these models and simulations. In order to determine the esthetic senses of the users and the non-users of the building, the questionnaire study was applied to the Faculty of Fethi Toker Fine Arts and Design and Gazi University, architecture students. Finally, with the insights of the questionnaire survey, the best criterions for facade lighting design were established.
