Abstract (EN)
In this study, 32 watermelon genotypes which has been high potantial for snack that was selected from the genetic resources of Cukurova University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Horticulture were investigated for fruit and seed quality. In study, total yield of fruit, average fruit weight, average fruit length, average fruit width, average fruit rind thickness, the amount of total soluble solids (TSSC), total seed yield, seed bigness, seed ground color, number of seeds per fruit, seed weight per fruit, number of seeds in a one gram, seed width, seed length, seed thickness, protein content of seed, crackle ease of seed and taste test of seeds were examined. As a result when fruit criteria scaned, the highest fruit yield was found from Kar 365 genotype. Most low-yielding genotypes happened Kar 40 genotype. When seed criteria analysed, the highest seed yield and the highest seed bigness were obtained from Kar 365 genotype. The genotypes of Kar 369 has the highest seed bigness and the highest of amount of total soluble solids had been identified to become lowest to number of seed per fruit.
