Cevdet Said'de toplumsal değişim ve şiddet ilişkisi

The Islamic world constitutes of more than one and a half billion people, which makes it about one third of the world's population. Muslim world have not survived the exploitation of the west Even though it possesses the main natural resources of the world. The decline of the Ottoman Empire and in the ongoing process of collapse Muslims are called to remedy this situation. There are many reasons for the decline of the Islamic world and the continual instability in their lands. From a sociological point of view, we can see that some of these reasons stem from the Muslims activities, while others are external causes. The goal of our thesis is to understand the causes which are based on Muslim activities in the light of Cevdet Said's concept of "social change" and "violence" terms. In most of his work Cevdet Said deals with the situation of the Islamic world and presents suggestions for the solutions. He also discusses the obstacles and problems which have been faced. He tries to make his suggestions and solutions based on the Qur'an and the Sunnah. He made mention some of the Qur'anic verses and some laws in forefront for the understanding of Muslims. According to Said; Surely Allah will help his sincere servants. However, this is only possible by following the general laws of Allah. Besides being sincere and diligent, it is necessary to apply the right method to solve problems. On the other hand, attempts to solve the situation of the Islamic world with a wrong method will not give the expected results. The failures will put the Muslims in the state of uncertainty; then this uncertainty will keep the Muslims from their productive efforts. According to him, Muslims want to change society, but they do not realize that it requires a long-term effort. On the other hand, is hyped up of heroism, in cases of hyped up of heroism and increased tension, the Muslims who refer are gave their lives and their goods. The Muslims who realize that: these struggles are not giving any solution are still continued to walk in the same wrong path. However, Muslims who devote themselves to change society need to abandon these distracting attitudes and start researching from their own souls. It is not possible for Muslims who do not go to change their souls to change their societies
