ABSTRACT MSc THESIS STATISTICAL PROCESS CONTROL IN MINERAL PROCESSING AND APPLICATION BÜLENT TÜTMEZ DEPARTMENT OF MINING ENGINEERING INSTITUTE OF NATURAL AND APPLIED SCIENCES UNIVERSITY OF ÇUKUROVA Supervisor : Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oktay BAYAT Year : 1999 Pages : 92 Jury : Assoc. Prof. Dr. Oktay BAYAT : Prof. Dr. Mesut ANIL : Assist. Prof. Dr. Mehmet YILDIRIM In this study, applicability of quality control, in Mineral Processing was investigated. Statistical analysis of continuous production processes, can make the control possible on the bases of input, process and output. In the work, simple control techniques and analysis have been explained by real and produced sampling and several applications have take in place taking Söğüt Ceramic Inc. which is one of the most important ceramic establishments in Turkey into consideration. Using computers for analysis evaluation of ceramic processes supplied many facilities from the point of time and assurance. Using control chart, manual judging faults in the process can be determined easily. Data based on consumer request can be evaluated and checked for the possibility of the risk of the process. Controlling of process by statistical techniques can also be beneficial from the point of environment and labor as well as. In the work, 'the flue gas flour emission' which is not required and form as a result of ceramic process has also been mentioned and a new offer has been made for the control of this product. In the entire work, a compound synthesis has been taken as a target which is generally based on mathematical- statistical theory. Key Words : Process control, ceramic, distribution function, control chart n
