Theorie und Praxis in der translationsdidaktik

The study which carries the title ?translation education in Turkey? focuses on the activities of the translation departments of academies. The aim of this study in which the historical process, structure, problems and solution advices of translation education are presented is to state the place of translation education in Turkey, to express the difficulties and to be able to tell the importance of the department in the future. The study is written in German, so it will be helpful for foreign researchers, because the studies and researches on this field written in foreign languages are rather limited. This study has been shaped by the results of questionnaires done with the departments and aims to give perspective on translation education in Turkey. Bringing on light the importance of translation education individually and socially will be source and light for the studies on this field. In the first part of this study, the historical process of the translation education is studied. The answers of these questions are looked for: In which phases did the translation education come from? How was it been organized? In the second part, all the departments on translation education are compared with their organizations, structures and characteristics. In the third part, the characteristics, problems and expectations of the departments are studied and solution advices are given.
