Environmental right and crimes against the environment in turkish criminal code

By the increase of environment problems, environment became a subject of science of Law as it was a subject of Phsycal sciences. Because non border effects of these problems, there had been some international arrangements, which named ? Living right in healthy and stable environment? also called simply ?environment right? is considered in regulations of goverments. The arrangements on private law and administrative law haven?t been effective for the solution of problems. So the arrangement studies are required from the Criminal Law which is the last step application normally because of the hard sanctions. Protection of enviroment has been added to the aims of Criminal Code which is mentioned in Turkish Criminal Code (Act No.5237) item 1. Also some actions against nature and enviroment is considered as ?Crimes Against Society? and so mentioned in item 181 as crime. To be considered as ?crime? in criminal law, is a great step for proteciton of environmental right.
