The effect of environmental type on organizational types according to organization dna by means of leadership style: A research in textile industry

An uncertain, turbulent or stagnant structure of the environment will affect the activities of the organizations as well as the behavior of the leaders. In a low-change environment can be seen a leadership style responsible for routine work and responsible for daily work whereashigh-speed change and more risky will be successful a leadership style that can manage risk. Organizational DNA, a current concept in the field of management and organization is the identity of the organizations which is located in the depths of the organization and which is effective in every success of the organization. In this context, it is necessary to manage the organization with an effective leadership style for the continuity of the organizations. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of environmental type on organizational types according to organizational DNA by means of leadership style. In this context, data were collected from 104 textile companies registered in the chamber of industry and commerce operating in the province of Denizli, Bursa, Istanbul / Küçükçekmece and Tekirdağ / Çorlu using the survey technique and the data were analyzed by SPSS 22.0 and Smart PLS programs. Demographic variables were entered into SPSS 22.0 program and percentage and frequency analyzes were performed. For the purpose of the study, data were analyzed by SmartPLS (Partial Least Squares) structural equation modeling in order to find out whether the type of environment has an effect on organizational types according to organizational DNA by means of leadership style. As a result of the analyzes, it can be said that the type of environment in general has an effect on the types of organizations according to the organization DNA through the leadership style and this effect is directly and through mediation, and the type of environment affects some leadership styles.
