Abstract (EN)
Preserving its natural balance until the industrial revolution, the world has tried to overcome environmental problems since the second half of the twentieth century. As the environmental problems are felt more and more, the concept of sustainable development has come to the fore and with this concept, the idea that development is done by damaging and disregarding the environment has started to dominate the idea that it will harm rather than benefit. Environmental policies have been established in order to solve environmental problems with high external costs. Environmental policies, which constitute the entirety of environmental principles and objectives, contain policy tools in line with these objectives in order to achieve the specified targets. Nowadays, the theories based on behavioral economics are based on psychological bases and people-oriented, making these theories more realistic and as a result, they become the accepted field in many countries' public policies. It is believed that economic behaviors will be analyzed more strongly and stronger policies will be developed in this way as it is based on assumptions based on psychological foundations. Based on the limited rationality assumption of economics, the obstacles in front of economic behaviors of individuals, especially pro-environmental behaviors, were tried to be predicted. In the literature studies and the findings of the study, it was obtained that behavioral elements were beneficial. Keywords: Behavioral Economics, Environment and Economy, Behavioral Public Policies
