Abstract (EN)

Anatolia involves cultures, which differ from each other, lives that is shaped by settlements. Traditional residence architecture can be described as the life around the society created by themselves which goes through the anonymous design process. This architecture takes part in important datas which can be shown as a source of understanding and telling the social values, world views, customs, traditions, belief systems, family and kinship onds of this society. In this sense, Kemaliye and Apçağa village, which is one of the example of the original architecture of environmental factors has maintained until today holistically, can be thought as a research topic. Kemaliye town center and its central villages are lack of suitable areas for agriculture and far away from the transportation routes. So , the people living in that region were charged with the duty of meat kethudalık at the age of Yavuz Sultan Selim in order to prevent the migration , especially Shi 'ism transition towards the western of Euphrates. Later, wood and coal kethüdalık was given at the age of 4. Murat. Mainly in the beginings of 20th century and especially after 1950 Bağıştaş Station has accelerated the migration to the big cities. With the reduction of the population, uninhabitat houses caused neglect for a long time. As in Kemaliye and its surrounding villages, the people living in Apçağa are bound to their village by a sense of belonging and this is also understood by the majority of established associations. After the interviews with the people, it has been apeared that the people living in big cities spend especially summer months in their houses, located in Kemaliye and its villages, in every year. Observations and historical researches during the fieldworks in the content of thesis confirms this view. In Apçağa village, there are lots of buildings, streets and garden walls which have been saved holistically and reflects original texture character. In addition to the maintaining of protection, it is necessary to determine the environmental factors and user needs of the established term so as to meet the user requirements and environmental factors of today's conditions and the aim of this thesis is this requirement. In order to do this research, at first the effects to the design of environmental factors and user requirements in the term of the buildings established. In later studies, enviromental factors and user requirements of buildings changing according to the today's conditions can be discussed.
