Abstract (EN)

The need for energy is increasing day by day all over the world. Despite the increasing energy need, the energy resources used are approaching to the end with each passing day. For this reason, the energy obtained from renewable energy sources comes to the fore and gains more importance than the energy obtained from fossil fuels. In this thesis, environmental parameters affecting the efficiency of solar energy panels, which produce electricity from solar energy, which is a renewable energy source, were examined. In particular, how environmental parameters such as solar radiation, temperature and wind affect panel efficiency and which regions have more suitable conditions for solar power plant installation are emphasized. While doing this, first of all, in order to see the wind effect that directly affects the panel efficiency, regions where wind turbines are installed in our country and where solar radiation values are high were selected. The meteorological values of the selected cities were obtained and the instantaneous radiation intensity and panel efficiency were calculated with an algorithm written in MATLAB, and the daily, monthly, seasonal and annual solar radiation values and annual electricity production were calculated with the sum of these values. When we look at the results, it is seen that solar radiation and wind speed are quite effective on panel efficiency. In the light of the data interpreted by pouring into graphics, it was concluded that the amount of solar radiation increased does not always increase the efficiency. The results show that when the wind speed changes between 1 m/s and 7 m/s, the difference in efficiency changes around 3.2%.
