Abstract (EN)
The aim of this study is to examine the online disinhibition levels of university students in terms of narcissistic personality traits and interpersonal communication styles. The study group consisted of 265 females (64%) and 149 (36%) male, whose ages range from 18 to 36 years of age (X ̅= 22.54, SD = 3.61). In order to determine the online disinhibition levels of the participants, Online Disinhibition Scale, Narcissistic Personality Inventory and Interpersonal Style Scale were used as data collection tools. In addition, the demographic characteristics of the university students who participated in the study were evaluated with the Personal Information Form prepared by the researcher. In the study, t-Test and One-Way ANOVA for independent samples in difference statistics; Pearson Correlation Coefficients and Hierarchical Regression Analysis were used to evaluate the relationships between variables. According to these results, it was found that the level of online disinhibition decreased when the age of the university students and their mothers education levels increased; It was found that online disinhibition levels increased as İnstagram usage, use of Twitter, levels of narcissistic exhibitionism, and manipulative and avoiding interpersonal communication styles increased.
