Abstract (EN)
The ongoing discussions intended for perception of space in the today's art have led to emergence of searches about new materials, new approaches and structural problems in the evaluation form. In the first part of study deals with the physical space which opened an experimental field for the artist and the place where artwork is produced and the exhibition context is questioned. In the second part, space is examined through the results in search of reality in the context of how everyday objects / materials have been integrated by how the artist emphasizes the artwork as a surface / space into the field of art. In the third section, the problematic of the space of materials have been elaborated and evaluated on today's artist's methodological and artistic proposals. In this study which is intended to position the relations between space / form / meaning in artworks of contemporary artists and to put forward these kinds of problems in terms of these sentences: "What are factors that lead Kurt Schwitters or Daniel Buren to new spatial experiments? What have they experienced during these quests? Which historical process has been formed, developed and reached today? What are the effects, results and new possibilities of expression of using material and space within the artistic process?" While in search for answers the sociological and psychological or personal factors which determine the selected artists and their works are being evaluated. The use of of materials that bring today's art has introduced new narrative possibilities and consequences brought by new materials introduced to the spaces of contemporary art.
