The position of the Directorate of Religious Affairs within the state during the reign of RPP

The mail goal of the dissertation which focuses upon the DRA during the reign of RPP is not to analyse the DRA, as it is generally done, simply as an institution within the state, but rather to analyse it by focusing upon its authorisations, duties and activities since its establishment until 1950 and as such to turn it into a subject of discussion on its own by taking it as a structure apart from the political power. The dissertation takes the DRA as a political subject possessing various qualities which prevent it to be identified with the republican political power and to be reduced to a control and/or ideological device. It problematizes the network of relationships between the Directorate and the hegemonic bloc, which is composed by the political power and the power groups, and, accordingly, the position of the institution within the state from its establishment until 1950.
