Ottoman Empire spared no sacrifice in issues like security of Haj route, construction and repair of Medina, and maintenance of Holy Places (Kaaba), however, it could not prevent European States from setting their eyes on this most strategic point of history.Against all measures taken by the Ottoman Empire, British and French governments have exaggerated the attack made to their Consuls in relation to Jeddah uprising of July 15, 1858 and misguiding the event by means of media, they have turned it into a matter of international public.
