Abstract (EN)

Throughout the history of philosophy, the relationship between religion-philosophy, reason-belief, science-revelation has been one of the important issues. With his views on this subject, Ibn Rushd became one of the remarkable names of both Islamic philosophy in particular and the history of philosophy in general. In his work Faslu'l-Makal, he summarized the religion-philosophy relationship in a systematic and consistent manner. But this idea has given fruit in the west rather than the east. These teachings of Ibn Rushd will continue to exist in the west with the naming of "Averroism" after him, and the west will almost rediscover its own values with Ibn Rushd, who is described as the "Aristotelian Commentator". In this study, we will discuss the content and possibility of the doctrine of dual truth attributed to Ibn Rushd by some parties and the interpretation of the unity of truths, which is another evaluation for Ibn Rushd. We will try see the influence of ibn Rushd on the Scholastic philosophers in the axis of the general philosophical ideas of the Scholastic philosophy theologian Thomas Aquinas. In this context, we will try to see whether the doctrine of double truth is possible by determining the framework of the relationship between philosophy and religion in Ibn Rushd.
