?Use of Solid Waste As an Alternative Fuels in Cement Industry?Y.Müh. Fatih TOSUNABSTRACTThe cement industry is one of the most important primary sectors of Turkey. High-energyconsumption and dust emission make this industry significant for environmental pollution.Huge demand and production capacity cause huge emission as well.In this study we are going to mention; As Turkey adopting EU, the new environmentstandards for the cement industry, The chemistry of inputs and outputs of cement production,use of solid waste as an alternative fuel The chemical formula of cement dust before and afterdust separation, The use of refinement systems at dust separation stage, The main causes ofdust in a cement factory is the exhaust of a rotary kiln.As follow, in the second part about cement production and step by step its emissions in thethird part about type of fuels used in the production, in the forth part about the cementindustry in the EU, in the fifth part about the cement industry in Turkey, in the sixth partabout some implementation of the use of solid waste as an alternative fuel and in the seventhpart waste using for joint fuels in the public rules about law,in the eight part we are comparingcement kilns with the specialized incinerators in respect of The Europe Cement Union?sregulation.Keywords: Europe Union Environment Directions, Environment standards, Solid wastemanagement, Alternative fuels consumption, The cement industry.
