The effect of gender discrimination and gender based nephotism on employee performance

Abstract (EN)

In this postgraduate thesis, we target to evaluate the effects of nepotism, gender discrimination and nepotism related to gender discrimination on employees' working performances based on sample surveys of selected some both public and private sector finance organizations. In literature, there are no so much researches related factors which effects employees working performances and gender discrimination. On the other hand gender discrimination and nepotism related gender discrimination became more popular current and the research are increasing day by day. However we have not witness the research which evaluates the effects of gender discrimination and nepotism related gender discrimination which effects employees' working performances at the same time. To see the consequences of discrimination and nepotism related gender discrimination which effects employees' working performances study, survey which contains 39 questions, three chapters and Seven Likert attitude scales has been prepared. Survey have been applied to 306 employees working in private sector and public financial organizations. In results of survey, we observe the negative and direct influences of discrimination features which effects structure on employees' working performances. Other independent variable like workplace romance were found to have no effects on employees' working performances. The results of research have been discussed in the direction of survey results and some suggestion have been made to academicians and managers.
