Abstract (EN)

The subject of this research is the effects of cartoons on children's socialization and adoption of moral values. In this study, it is examined how the cultural elements and moral values that make up the society are handled in cartoons. After considering the conceptual framework, "Emiray" and "Miracle: Ladybug and Black Cat" cartoons selected from TRT Child and Disney Channel channels were discussed. 32 episodes from Emiray cartoon and 23 episodes from Miraculous: Ladybug and Black Cat cartoon were determined and by watching these determined episodes, the way cultural elements and moral values are presented and the effects they can have on children are tried to be revealed. As a result of the research based on the content analysis, it was concluded that children watching domestic or foreign cartoons may adopt different attitudes and behaviors in their social relations with their family, relatives and friends, and that the cartoons they watch are of domestic or foreign origin will show a culturally significant difference. In this sense, it has been concluded that cartoons can cause differences in terms of cultural elements such as clothing, clothing, lifestyle and moral values.
