Literary environment occuring around Çınaraltı magazine

SUMMARY THESİS OF MASTER LİTERARY ENVIRONMENT OCCURİNG AROUND ÇINARALTI MAGAZINE NECATİ TONGA GAZI UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SOCIAL SCIENCES NEW TURKISH LITERATURE DEPARTMENT 2004 In this study, we've examined the "Çınaraltı" magazine which was one of most important magazines in 1940's. We limited our study for the first three series of the magazine considering the extensiveness of the subject. At the introduction part of our study, information about political, social, and cultural development of era, which Çınaraltı magazine was published, has been given. At the first chapter litaratura environment of the 1940's and the other magazines of era has been evaluated in general structures. At the second part of our study the formation and characteristics of Çınaraltı magazine is focussed on; name of the magazine, it's style and context peculiarities, literal surroundings and time of publishing has been examined. At the first part of the third serie, two different index of the first three series has been prepared. But at the second part, the articles participated in the magazine has been tried to evaluate. At the conclusion therehas been an evaluation on the place of Çınaraltı magazine at Turkish Literature and culture. At the end of our study, Ziya Gökalp's "Çınaraltı" article, which was originated the name of the magazine weexamine, has been participated; and by a selection of the published poems Çıanaltı Poem Anthology has been tried to organize. At our study "Literary Environment Occuring Around Çınaraltı Magazine" our basic point is the magazine itself. While examining Çınaraltı, when it is needed memorials, biographies, history of literatures and sources which illumunates the social-political surroundings of era have been applied. Since periodics were published, they have had a great role on our idea and art worlds progress. We think that; after such idea and art works, studies on newspapers and magazines like Çınaraltı will take responsibilities for writing a complete Turkish Literature and history of idea.
