Evaluation of job satisfaction and professional burnout levels of forensic interviewers in child monitoring centers

The aim of this research is to examine the job satisfaction and professional burnout levels of the professional staff working as forensic interviewers in the hospitals affiliated to the Ministry of Health in Turkey and to contribute to the development of solution proposals in order to increase the psychosocial well-being of the professional staff working in this field so that they can be protected against burnout. The study group of the research; In December 2022, it consists of 156 forensic interviewers who are actively working in various provinces of Turkey. This study is a cross-sectional study designed in relational survey model, one of the quantitative research methods. In the research, "Personal and Professional Information Form" to collect demographic information, "Minnesota Job Satisfaction Scale" adapted to Turkish by Akkamış (2010) to determine job satisfaction levels, "Maslach Burnout Scale" adapted to Turkish by Ergin (1992) to measure occupational burnout levels. used. In the comparison of scale scores and sub-dimension scores, independent samples t-test was used for two-group comparison and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was applied for more than two groups. The relationship of the scale scores with each other was examined by Pearson Correlation analysis. The data obtained as a result of the research were analyzed with the SPSS 22.0 program. As a result of the analyzes made, it was determined that there was a negative relationship between the job satisfaction and burnout levels of the participants, the level of burnout decreased while job satisfaction increased, or the level of burnout increased while job satisfaction decreased.
