The preschool teacher's and parents criteria in choosing children books (3-6 years)

The aim of this research is to detect the preschool teachers' and parents'criteria in choosing children books."The Scale of Preschool Teachers' and Parents' Criteria in Choosing Children Books (3-6 years)" was prepared by testing its validity and credibilitywith the guidance of experts. With this scale composed of 21 questions, additional personal information forms are applied to teachers and parents consisting of 7 questions for teachers and 6 questions for parents.The total field under survey is composed of the teachers and parents of the children in the preschool institutions of the city Samsun and its nearest districts. The questionnaire was applied to a number of 871 parents and 97 preschool teachers by using random sampling method.During this research, in the course of subordinate problems, the criteria of teachers and parents in deciding childrens books have been attempted to be determined.
