Abstract (EN)

In this thesis, the number of playgrounds in the center of the Efeler district of the province of Aydin according to age groups, their distribution within the settlement, and service radius were examined. Playgrounds are divided into three different groups: 6-23 months, 2-5 years, and 5-12 years, depending on age. When examining the accessibility of playgrounds, a service radius of 200 m for 6-23 months, 350 m for 2-5 years, and 500 m for 5-12 years was taken into account. The service radius of playgrounds was analyzed in the "ArcMap 10.7" program by "Buffer" analysis. Although the district of Cumhuriyet has the best accessibility to playgrounds for children aged 6-23 months, it is inadequate. Playgrounds for children aged 6-23 months are very inadequate in all neighborhoods. Meşrutiyet Mahallesi has the highest accessibility rate for playgrounds for children aged 2-5 years. Playgrounds in the 2-5 age group can not fully meet the accessibility values. Playgrounds aged 5-12 years provide accessibility values for half of the existing neighborhoods. Accessibility of playgrounds in the city center of the Efeler district of the province of Aydin was determined to be insufficient. As a result of the study, it was found that playgrounds are not planned based on the service radius. The service radius standard should be developed in accordance with age groups of playgrounds.
