Analyses of Qurʾānic stories prepared for children in terms of style and content

The religious attitudes and behaviours of our children, whom we want to be the light of our eyes, develop from an early age. It is one of the important issues to bring them together with the right sources during their stages of development. Qurʾān/prophet parables have an important place among children's books in terms of having important contents to support children's religious development. However, even if these works are written with good intentions, their suitability to the Qurʾān and authentic sources is a matter open to debate. It is also necessary to be aware of the criteria to be considered when choosing a book on the Qurʾān for children. In the first part of the study, firstly, literature information about children's books on the theme of Qurʾānic parables is given. Then, the children's works within the scope of the research were analysed in terms of language-stylistics, form-visual and content suitability. In the second part, the children's works analysed in terms of the data of the science of tafsir were examined under headings such as the integrity of the Qurʾān, the use of isrâîliyyât in the interpretation of verses, the issue of the context of the verse, the issue of anachronism, the harmony of the visuals used with the interpretation of the verse, the truth dimension of the information given in the narration of the parables, attention to the emphasis of the Qurʾān on the human prophet, and mentioning the wisdom dimension in the narration of the parables. As a result of this examination, it was tried to reveal the quality and competence of children's works in the field.
