Abstract (EN)

Pain the early warning sign of pathological tissue damage symptoms that occur due to reasons such as disease and trauma are among the most common symptoms in paediatric dentistry. Pain control is essential in maintaining the treatment process and quality of life. In this context, there are pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods. There are various groups of analgesics in pharmacological methods such as analgesics in pediatric patients are Paracetamol, a non-opioid, and Ibuprofen member of the NSAID group. Like pain, tooth decay is the most common lesion in the paediatirc dentistry. Restorative materials are used in the treatment of caries, and current research try to improve the structure and mechanical properties of the materials. The most commonly used materials include GI-based materials, compomer and composite in paediatric dentistry. The new restorative material called Alkasite has karyostatic properties by developing Hydroxyl ion in addition to its Fluoride content. The aim of our study is to compare the possible changes in the mechanical properties of Alaksite and other widely used materials when treated with analgesic drugs. In our study standardized discs of the materials were obtained. Disk samples were kept in Calpol 120mg/5ml, Ibufen 100mg/5ml and Distilled Water 5ml for control purposes for 1 minute, 3 times a day, every 8 hours, for a total of 72 hours, depending on the indication for use of the analgesic drugs. Following the initial microhardness, surface roughness and color measurement values, microhardness, surface roughness and color measurement values were measured after the treatment with drugs and the control group. And then the data were recorded in the computer environment. Statistical analysis was performed. According to the results of this analysis, microhardness values decreased over time in all groups and surface roughness increased; Accordingly, it was concluded that from the moment the materials were applied in the mouth, a decrease in microhardness properties and an increase in roughness were observed, and the standard deviation in color change was high.
