Abstract (EN)

The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between the intention of parents' tendency to love children to love their children and the prosocial behaviors of pre-school children. This study is a descriptive study based on screening model. During the 2016-2017 education period, Governorship was granted permission to conduct research in independent nurseries located in three different districts of the Antalya city center. This permission was discussed with all independent nursery school officials in the districts, and six (6) independent nursery schools, which voluntarily agreed to participate, were included in the study. Adult prosociality scale was sent to parents of only 5-6 year olds. 410 parents and their children were included in the study group, who returned to the adult prosocial level. Personal Information Form, Barnett Child Love Scale, Adult Prosociality Scale and Child Prosociality Scale were used as data collection tools. The data of the study were analyzed by SPSS 24 package program.According to the findings, there was a significant relationship between parental prosocial behavior and children's prosocial behavior and parental prosocial behavior and parents' tendency to love children. There was no statistically significant relationship between parents' tendency to love children and their children' s prosocial behaviors. Our findings were discussed in the light of the relevant literature.
