The aim of this study is to examine the attitudes towards sports activities and the orientation towards sports events of parents who do and do not send their children to recreational sports activities. It is also aimed to examine the differences in parents' attitudes towards sports, their orientation towards sports activities and their attitudes towards extracurricular sports activities according to some demographic variables. In this context, the study analyzes whether parents who send their children to sports activities have more positive attitudes towards sports compared to parents who do not send their children and how their attitudes towards extracurricular sports activities are shaped. The research group consists of parents of children who attend and do not attend different sports schools in the Muratpaşa district of Antalya.
