Abstract (EN)

The main objective of this study is to investigate how emotional abuse affects the level of depression and the mediating role of psychological resilience in this effect. Additionally, it aims to examine the impact of socio-demographic factors such as gender, relationship status, education level, income level, and history of significant illness on emotional abuse and depression. In this research, participants' demographic data were presented using frequency analysis. Statistical tests were conducted to evaluate the normal distribution of the data, and for normally distributed data, independent samples t-test and ANOVA were used for analysis. Furthermore, the relationship between scales was examined using Pearson correlation analysis. The mediating role of psychological resilience in the effect of childhood emotional abuse on depression was evaluated using Structural Equation Modeling. The findings revealed that emotional abuse positively influenced depression levels and that psychological resilience played a mediating role in reducing this impact. The results of the study support the significant role of psychological resilience in mitigating the impact of emotional abuse on depression.
