Abstract (EN)
In this study, the mediating role of attachment to parents and psychological resilience in the relationship between childhood traumas and alexithymia has been examined. 360 individuals aged 17 and over living in Konya participated in the research. To reach the sociodemographic information of the participants, "Personal Information Form", to measure traumatic experiences in childhood "Childhood Trauma Scale (CTS)", to measure alexithymia "Toronto Alexithymia Scale (TAS-20)", and to measure parental attachment levels of the participants the "Opinions About Parents Scale" (API) and to measure the levels of psychological resilience "Psychological Resilience Scale (PSS-IIIR)" have been given to the participants. The results have been analyzed with the SPSS program and the data has been obtained by independent t-test, one-way analysis of variance, correlation and mediation analysis. As a result of the correlation analysis performed to examine whether there is a relationship between the childhood traumas, parental attachment, resilience and alexithymia levels of the participants, it has been found that alexithymia has been positively and significantly associated with childhood traumas, while negatively and significantly related to parental attachment and psychological resilience. As a result of the Parallel Multimedia Variable analysis performed to examine the mediator role of attachment to parents and psychological resilience in the relationship between childhood trauma and alexithymia, it has been found that attachment to parents and psychological resilience play a full mediator role in the relationship between childhood traumas and alexithymia.
