Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to determine the mediator role of rumination in the effect of childhood traumas on psychological resilience. In this direction, the relationships between childhood traumas, resilience and rumination will be examined. In addition, the relationship between childhood traumas, resilience and rumination was examined and it was examined whether these variables differed according to demographic characteristics. Sociodemographic information form (gender, age, education, marital status), Turkish form of the Childhood Trauma Scale, the Turkish form of the Ruminative Thinking Style Scale, and the Turkish form of the Short Psychological Resilience Scale are applied to the volunteers who approved to participate in the study. Relational Survey Model and Mediator Variable Model were used in the study. According to the study, a significant relationship was found between childhood traumas, resilience, and rumination, and it was determined that rumination had a partial mediator role in the effect of childhood traumas on resilience. The findings obtained from the analysis were also discussed in line with the literature.
