Abstract (EN)
In this research, it is aimed to investigate the effect of emotional intelligence levels of individuals who have lost parental consciousness on social adjustment and life satisfaction. A total of 152 people, 78 males and 74 females, were included in the survey. The Schutte Emotional Intelligence Scale, Social Compliance and Self-Assessment Scale and Life Satisfaction Scale were used to collect the research data. Emotional intelligence according to findings from research; General harmony with sub-dimensions of social cohesion has a significant effect on adaptation to excitement, social cohesion and adaptation to family environment. Nevertheless, the regulation of optimism mood has an increasing effect on all aspects of social cohesion. While the use of emotions increases social cohesion and adaptation to the family environment, it does not affect compliance with general harmony and excitement. While the evaluation of feelings increases the level of harmony with family environment, It does not affect the level of compliance with general harmony and excitement. According to the results of the regression analysis conducted to reveal the relationship between emotional intelligence and life satisfaction, emotional intelligence has a significant effect on life satisfaction. In this regard, optimism regulates the mood, increasing the level of life satisfaction. The use of emotions, the regulation of optimism mood, the use of emotions and the evaluation of emotions increase the level of life satisfaction.
