Analysis of structural data with geographical information system

GIS having a large field of usage maintain?s many users to be included in the data at GIS at the same time. Structural elements can besearched, and the users can take rapid, correct, and effective decisions.The map to be the resource for the research was made on the computer. Moreover, an area inthe city boundaries of Elazığ was chosen as studying area. A digital terrain model was done bytransferring the maps of this area in to computer. Attribute data belonging to the people, buildings,flats, streets and districts in the studying area were collected. In addition to attribute data, structuralrisk factors which are very important were included in this information system. All of the data wereexposed to quires with GIS. The environment which will do the essential quiries was prepared byusing the database features done with GIS. So, NetCAD/GIS program was used as a software forcollecting, storing and inquiring of the data. Microsoft Excel was used to take report, and MicrosoftAccess was used as database.
