Abstract (EN)

Within the scope of the thesis, Schiff bases were formed on an amine attached multi-walled carbon nanotube (MW-CNT-NH2) via a connection of salicylaldehyde. Nickel and palladium complexes of the MW-CNT supported Schiff base were prepared. Spectroscopic methods such as FTIR, elemental analysis, ICP and SEM were used in the characterisation of the synthesized Schiff basis and metal complexes. The efficiency of the synthesised complexes as a catalyst has been tested on the Suzuki Miyaura carbon-carbon coupling reaction (C-C). In the catalytical effectiveness studies the products were observed with GC. The convertion rate of coupling reaction were %84 and 96% for Ni(II) and 99% for Pd(II) at 80oC with K2CO3.
