Abstract (EN)
In this thesis, the analysis of tall multi-story buildings is performed based on the regulations of the 2018 Türkiye Building Earthquake Code (TSC-2018). The static and dynamic analysis of reinforced concrete frame structures, structures with shear walls, and structures with shear walls at their basement floors are carried out using equivalent seismic load and mode-superposition methods. In addition, the response of several models of buildings having their basements surrounded by rigid shear walls is examined under the seismic loads in the analysis. Moreover, parametric studies are performed for several locations and shapes of the shear walls on upstairs floors and related structural irregularities are investigated in detail. The SAP 2000 finite element package program is used for the modelling and analysis of the buildings.
