Abstract (EN)

In this study, the effect of flame application during extrusion of polyamide pipes on the material properties is discussed. 2 layer and 5 layer polyamide pipes were used during the study. During extrusion, the flame temperature at 50°C, 60°C, 80°C and without flame temperature were applied to the pipes and then, the effect of these applications were investigated on pipe mechanical properties. After the flame temperature application of PA pipes, tensile tests, impact tests, cold air ball drop test and resistance to material dissolution tests were performed. After the application of the flame temperature, the %elongation values of 2 layer PA and 5 layer PA pipes were examined. Until flame temperature reaches to 60°C, %elongation values also increase for 2 layer PA pipes. In 5 layer PA pipes, an increase in the %elongation value was observed with the increase of flame temperature up to 80°C. It was observed that the highest %elongation results was obtained in the 5 layer PA pipes with a flame temperature of 80°C. In addition, when cold air ball drop test results and the amount of soluble-insoluble material was examined, all samples of 2 layer and 5 layer PA pipes were showed the appropriate results.
