Abstract (EN)
This work consists of five main sections: "introduction", "conceptual framework and related researches", "method", "summary of findings", "conclusion, discussion and suggestion". The research, which examines the reflection of multiculturalism in social studies textbooks, includes social studies researching books dating from 1968 till present days. Considering the period in which a critical curriculum change is taking place due to the fact that this period corresponds to a wide time interval, the current study was divided into five different period intervals. In this context, five academic books were examined for each relevant period interval and in total 25 books were analyzed. In order to provide a holistic perspective in these reviews, the review is not limited within the certain level, also academic books in social sciences of 4th, 6th and 7th levels of grades were used. In conclusion, reflections of multiculturalism in social studies textbooks are mentioned and suggestions for the development of multicultural attribute in these books have been made.
