Abstract (EN)
Aim: The aim of the study was to investigate the effects of Squatting Exercise Depth on physiological response. Material and Method: The sample of this study was 22 ± 1.89 (years), 179.81 ± 5.41 cm, body weights 75.83 ± 9.32 kg, body mass indexes (BMI) and body fat ratios were 23.48 ± 3.06 kg / m2. 11 male volunteer students (9.74 ± 3.61 (%)). Squatting exercise depth was performed at three different depths as full, half and quarter squatting. In these protocols, blood, CK, LDH, IGF-1 and testosterone levels of the blood samples were examined. Results: In terms of all protocols, CK concentration was found statistically significant after 24 hours. (F = 4.625, p = .024; F = 18.769, p = .000; F = 12.763, p = .000 respectively). Statistically significant differences were detected in CK concentration between protocols (p <0.05) The difference in LDH concentration before and after exercise compared to protocols was found to be significant in favor of protocol 1 compared to protocols 2 and 3 (t = -5.025, p = .001; t = -4.730, p = .001 respectively). LDH concentration differences before and after exercise compared in terms of protocols were not statistically significant (p> 0.05). IGF-1 concentration differences before and after exercise compared in terms of protocols were not statistically significant (p> 0.05). In terms of all protocols, Post-Exercise Testosterone concentration was found to be statistically significant (F = .824, p = .518; F = 2.878, p = .035; F = 3.432, p = .017 respectively). There were statistically significant differences in testosterone concentration between protocols (p <0.05). Conclusion: According to the results of the research, it was observed that the depths of the squatting were increased by the complete squatting half squatting and quarter squatting by the release of CK, LDH, IGF-1 and testosterone in the organism. Key Words: Squatting, Creatine Kinase, Lactate Dehydrogenase, İnsulin-Like Growth Factor 1, Testosterone
