Abstract (EN)

Entrepreneurship; the trending process of generating economic growth, employment and technological capabilities, has both institutional and individual dimensions. The aim of this study is to analyze the impact of institutional and individual factors on the probability of becoming an entrepreneur. The data required for this study is derived from Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) database and covers specifically efficiency-driven countries. Panel data analyses are implemented in order to indicate the relationships between the entrepreneurship and its factors. As a result of the analyses, perceived opportunities, perceived capabilities, female/male ratio, internal market openness level has positive impact on entrepreneurship. However, financing for entrepreneurs has negatively associated with entrepreneurship. Additionally, suggestions for Turkish Entrepreneurial Ecosystem are developed based on country data and analyses. Lack of data is described as a limit, because not all efficiency-driven countries' data are available in GEM database.
