İbn'ul Arabi'de hikmet kavramı

This work aims to reach the concept of wisdom at Ibn `Arabî who was a genius spiritual and not only one of the great masters of the Sufism but one of the greatest mystics of all times. We translate into Western languages, the Arabic word hikma by wisdom (wisdom in English, weissheit in German). Etymology of this wisdom in all these languages returns to the knowledge, to the direction which is certainly related to the Greek Sophia. However the Arabic word hikma comes from the root h-k-m which means in first direction to ?prevent, avoid, retain to make evil or corruption?. Where hikma means what prevent ignorant behavior which wants to say in common use ?wisdom?. In this direction, that is closer with the science which includes the knowledge that is controlling the world. Because the h-k-m root wants to say also ?to judge, to give his judgement?, where hukm is the final judgment or order. In this direction, we see that hikma is to act according to the final judgment. Thus, it is strongly related to a universal Law, to justice and to the idea of ?just? and ?reality?. Because the true judgement is to give what corresponds best to the nature or reality of the thing.
