Abstract (EN)

The WHO, which stands for the World Health Organisation describes health as a reflection of our mental and social well-being. It's not, about being free, from illness or weakness. The natural landscape has a strong beneficial impact on well-being, and people are intrinsically tied to it. This is why there is growing interest among scientists in the incorporation and administration of urban green infrastructure. Urban green areas have also been connected to enhanced physical activity and social interaction, two other favorable health outcomes and behaviors. People's modern lives put them under greater stress, which contributes to mental health problems in cities all over the globe. Urban streets are sites where pedestrians usually come into contact with one another on their daily trips. So, before returning home, people might take a walk and rest on city streets. Thus, urban streets designed to have restorative qualities may improve human mental health. According to these recommendations, it's critical to determine the urban green spaces that support mental health and create green initiatives that make it easier for people to understand the healing properties of these spaces. The triangulation technique approach is used in this research to investigate the connection between well-being and greenery. Whereas the quantitative technique consists of space syntax analysis and a questionnaire survey, the qualitative approach comprises architectural plan analysis, checklists, and photographic recording and assessment. Measurements of spatial layout in terms of accessibility and visual connection were made using a syntax map (Axial). Conversely, questionnaires on Runaki Street, ERBIL were used to assess and thereafter analyze the society's views of its Improving well-being, promoting health, physical activity, fostering cohesion, Restorative, Safety, and Environmental Quality. The results of this study revealed a significant positive correlation. The results from all measuring methods and tools were, for the most part, rather comparable. The study findings indicate a correlation between well-being and the presence of green spaces. Keywords: Erbil Runaki street, Green space, Physical health, Psychological health, Well-being
