SCADA systems are commonly used as controlling and monitoring systems in modern industry and automation systems. In these systems data collected are processed, interpreted, and monitored in one or more SCADA monitors. SCADA systems provide more flexibility and opportunities for sending, receiving any required control actions from large distances. SCADA systems are generally operated on a PC and they are usually combined with a PLC. PLC having smart device capabilities is one of the most widely used control device in industry. Automation systems using PLC become more intelligent and compact than relay logic systems. The productivity of the PLC systems can be enhanced easily and failure of the system can be detected and fixed quickly. The main objective of this study is to control a mechanical system having three axes moving capability by using servo motors, plc, and a personal computer. To achieve the aimed control, three axes mechanical system has been constructed. In the study, three servo motors and drivers were used to control the movement of the axes. Each axis is controlled with a separate servo motor-driver. 3 axes servo motor control and positioning system are done by using a designed SCADA software through a PLC with a written program. The actual and target positions are monitored by using SCADA software on the computer display. All the commands are sent from SCADA screen. The written PLC program can provide 125 point to point motion for each axis. Key words: Servo Motor, PLC, SCADA, Position Control, Axis control
