An inter-linear translation of the Quran Registered İn Çorum Museum, 2r1-267v3 (introduction-analysis-text-analytical i̇ndex)

This dissertation work comprises 2r1-267v3 folio and line spacing of the inter-linear Quran translation that was written in the Old Anatolian Turkish, registered as number 10172 in the Çorum Museum. There is no information about the scribal and copying date of this replica in Çorum Museum. The replica consists of 540 folios and each folio has 8 lines. The study consists of introduction part and three main sections. In the introduction part, the history of the translations of Quran is briefly mentioned, the types of translation are given, the translations of the Qur'an into Eastern Turkish and the Quran translations belonging to the period of Old Anatolian Turkish are mentioned. This part also gives information about the replica that is studied by touching on the importance of the Quran translations in terms of language studies. In the first section, the spelling, phonetics and morphological features of the replica were examined and specific examples from the text were given. In the second section, alphabet transfer of the text with Arabic letters was made. In the third section too, an alphabetical index was prepared by giving meaning to the words of the text. Word groups and compound structures with their meaning differences were included as sub-entry. The purpose of the study is to determine the significance of the work studied among the Quran translations made with Western Turkish, to demonstrate the word derivation and expression power of the Turkish language on this work, to contribute to the vocabulary of Old Anatolian Turkish and to the field of lexicography.
